Norwegian Airlines To Introduce Cheap Travels To Ireland, Greece, and Scotland

"Bradley International Airport is recognized by many as being faster and less stressful than other nearby airports - and with the addition of new flights to Europe, as well as new destinations around the country, that reputation only improves".

The airline have said that the flights will cost £69 to secondary airports in the NY and Boston areas.

-If you can spare $65, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA will fly you from one of three small airports in the northeastern United States to either the airports in Dublin or Shannon, Ireland; or Edinburgh, Scotland.

Starting in mid-June, sale destinations from the us include Edinburgh, Scotland; Belfast in Northern Ireland; and Cork, Shannon and Dublin in Ireland. From Providence, Norwegian is serving Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Shannon and Edinburgh.

The $65 fares will last until there are none left, said Lars Sande, Norwegian's senior vice president of sales.

Green Airport in Providence, R.I., and Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Conn., will be able to fly Norwegian's Boeing 737 MAX service to Ireland, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom starting on June 15.

There's been a wide-ranging welcome for the announcement of two new low cost services from Shannon to the U.S. this summer. Norwegian is the European launch customer of the Boeing 737-MAX, a state-of-the-art new aircraft, which offers a longer range and greater seat capacity.

Travel to Northern Ireland and Ireland begins in July. It will be configured to carry 189 passengers in a single-class layout-155 fewer than on the airline's Boeing 787-9s-and is capable of flying nonstop for up to 3,500 miles, versus a range of 2,500 miles on US routes like Los Angeles to NY.

Edinburgh Airport chief commercial officer John Watson told The Scotsman a year ago that Delta joining the competition last summer meant typical return fares of £800 being halved.

For New York, for example, you will be touching down in either Stewart Airport in Orange County or Green Airport in Rhode Island, rather than JFK. Still, unions representing pilots and flight attendants said they are considering litigation to overturn the approval. Passengers have the option to receiving additional savings by bundling a seat reservation, pre-ordering a meal service (including alcoholic beverages) and pre-paying for checked luggage.

Norwegian's chief executive, Bjorn Kjos, acknowledged that the new routes would not have been possible without Irish support.

The three-times weekly flights from Cork to Boston-Providence will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Spirit will also commence daily nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport June 15.

Low-cost airline Norwegian has announced plans to shake up the transatlantic travel market offering super low fares. The Dublin-based airline will also launch routes from T.F.

Labour TD Alan Kelly has called for an investigation into what the Department of Transport knew in relations to today's announcement by Norwegian Air that it will offer low cost flights to the US. Norwegian was named the Most Fuel-Efficient Airline on Transatlantic Routes by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT).
