Laverne Cox Apologizes for Forgetting to Introduce Metallica at the Grammys

Gaga literally owned the carpet in her risqué get up - and she posed with Metallica, whom she performed with on the Grammy stage.

Lady Gaga is the only pop star today who could strut onstage wearing knee-high leather boots to head bang alongside thrash metal pioneers Metallica, and have it feel natural.

But as the song began, it was clear there was a problem, as lead singer James Hetfield's microphone wasn't working and his voice couldn't be heard.

Fresh off her incredible Super Bowl Halftime performance, Lady Gaga made an entrance at the 59th Grammy awards red carpet. I was greatly disappointed when they cut their hair in the mid-1990s and became even more polished and accessible with Load and Reload.

She said: "I can't do it again, not after previous year, I can't mess this up for him". She was dazzling, of course, blowing out some goddess-level metal vocals and striking all the badass rock-poster poses. The entire group seemed to be relishing in the music; Like true professionals, they pushed past the technical difficulties.

Adele, 28, suffered audio glitches previous year during her Grammy performance of "All I Ask". Then James Hetfield's microphone doesn't work for a solid chunk of the song.

Despite this, the band put on a spirited performance, with a crowd-surfing Gaga throwing herself into the show. His first few lines were completely inaudible and he was forced to share Gaga's mic until the audio issue was resolved.

Lady Gaga and Metallica rocked out together at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, although it didn't go off without a hitch.

When the number ended, he kicked that mic stand over too. It means a lot to me.
