Germaine de Randamie offers Holly Holm a rematch to settle the controversy

MMA Fighting has since received an official statement from the New York State Athletic Commission, which effectively put the onus on the UFC for not objecting to their decision to assign Anderson to the main event.

Justino was in attendance during this past weekend's (Sat. February 11, 2017) inaugural women's featherweight title bout between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208, and is likely to challenge the new Dutch champ after her unanimous decision win over "The Preacher's Daughter".

MMA junkie columnist Ben Fowlkes noted that de Randamie was "the one who gave us the most significant action in her clash with Holly Holm, at times bending the rules to get there ..." Holm did not connect with as many strikes as Randamie did, and she was unsuccessful in every take down attempt, but she did seem to control the pace for the final two rounds.

If Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg were to fight, it probably won't be anytime soon.

White doesn't think the inexperienced referee from NY should have been officiating in the main event in the first place and notes that if a point had been deducted the fight would have been declared a draw.

"He should not have been in there", White said of Anderson in his post-fight interview.

She bemoaned the fact that she couldn't follow up on two punches that rocked De Randamie, and expressed regret over wasting time by pressing De Randamie to the cage.

On Monday afternoon, Cyborg made an appearance on the MMA Hour to discuss the UFC's recent featherweight title fight, offering up her take on who won the fight, and what it meant to be excluded from it.

This is where things get confusing.

De Randamie, 32, is now set up to face rising UFC star Cris "Cyborg" Justino in her first featherweight defense later this year. De Randamie's history-making win, however, had a massive shadow cast over it by one woman: Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino.

The preliminary card will begin at 6:30 p.m. on UFC Fight Pass and will continue at 8 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.

Speaking of Anderson, it is sadly time for Anderson Silva, the greatest fighter of all time, to retire. They don't have enough experience. "This is my one and only shot to fight for the belt".

Though the referee didn't play as influential of a role in Anderson Silva's co-main event fight with Derek Brunson, there were still many people questioning the outcome.

Glover Teixeira's ceiling is clearly established, so while seeing him showcase his wrestling in a good win over Jared Cannonier gets him back in the win column, it does nothing to make you reconsider his position in the pecking order, especially when you consider that Jon Jones is likely to face the victor of the UFC 210 rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson.

Being durable won't save you if you go to the ground with Jacare and the Brazilian jiu jitsu champion submitted Boetsch in the first round.

"I don't expect her to stand and trade, I don't think that's her style of fighting".
