Chelsea manager Antonio Conte pays tribute to Lincoln's FA Cup story

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte dismissed talk of his side completing a domestic league and cup double after their 2-0 FA Cup fifth-round win over Wolves.

Diego Costa slammed an effort into the side-netting before Pedro headed home Willian's cross in the 65th minute to quieten the home crowd.

Conte urged his team not to relax in their fight for silverware as the Blues kept alive their hopes of completing a league and cup double. They didn't get beaten though and that is why they are going to win the league. "In Italy, I think it is impossible to happen". Don't forget Wolverhampton won against Liverpool away, won against Stoke away.

"We must pay great attention, because this team showed in the recent past that they have the possibility to beat great teams".

"We're up against a team that's eight points clear in the Premier League with a great manager and a great team who are playing ever so well", Lambert said.

"I think we're growing a lot in these seven months in all these aspects".

Chelsea's steady diet of weekend football, with plenty of time for work on the training field plus rest and recovery, has been a massive bonus for Conte in his first season in English football.

"I couldn't ask for any more".

Cesc Fabregas, an FA Cup victor with Arsenal in 2005, was also restored to Chelsea's starting line-up for the game and Terry stressed the importance of having players who recognise the danger posed by teams from lower divisions.

"We will need to punch above our weight and stay in the game as long as we can", said Lambert.

The two were the subject of a public fall out in January - which led to Costa being axed from the Chelsea team for a short period by Conte - and Costa's future has been the subject of long-term speculation ever since. Today they give me great answers.

And yet, if this year's competition has proved anything, clichéd or not, it's that the FA Cup always carries the potential of delivering the unexpected. Antonio Conte introduced Cesar Azpilicueta from the bench in place of Pedro, evidently looking to take any sting out of the game. "For Marcos Alonso, to give him a bit of rest, also for David Luiz, we have the opportunity to give him a week to recover and prepare for the next game".
