Adele Broke her Grammy in Half - to Give Half to Beyoncé

Carlos Santana has attempted to "clarify" a comment he made about Beyonce after the Grammy Awards after it prompted a backlash from her fans. In the chat he defended Adele's win over Bey at Sunday night's (Feb. 12) Grammy Awards by intimating that the Lemonade vocalist was "not a singer-singer" but more of a music model. "What does she have to do to win Album of the Year?".

"What the f**k does she have to do to win Album of the Year?" an emotional Adele questioned reporters backstage.

"My queen and my idol is Queen B". "But I can't possibly accept this award". But my artist of my life is Beyoncé.

Beyoncé also took home the Best Music Video Grammy for "Formation" and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade. Social media was quick to tag it as Grammys' Mean Girls moment, saying that Adele wanted to share the award with Beyonce. In her performance, she was dressed in a regal outfit and performed a medley of songs including "Love Drought" and "Sandcastles".

Solange, meanwhile, Tweeted her criticism of the Grammys not long after she also posted a link to an anti-Grammys Tumblr post written by Frank Ocean.

"I know it's live TV, I'm sorry", she said, before she was briefly cut-off by a censor.

They'd say Beyonce has to change her skin color. She later apologized for causing any offense.

Elsewhere, Bruno Mars paid tribute to Prince who died in April 2016, teaming up with The Time for a blistering performance of Let's Go Crazy.

As with other recent Hollywood award shows, artists wasted no time getting political. That album was for us and she acknowledged it. While neither of the ladies walked away empty-handed at Sunday's (Feb. 12) show, Santana feels Adele won the night's biggest honor because Beyonce's "not a singer".
