President and Vice President attend Inaugural Luncheon

"The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans", Trump said.

As Pence is sworn into office and makes the full-time move to Washington, the people of Columbus say they will miss seeing him around town.

Initially a group of a dozen people met at the Friendship Heights Metro Station, which is located on the border of Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Seen in the background are members of his cabinet and wife, Melania Trump (in blue dress).

Also in attendance were former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura Bush, and former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former secretary of state and former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama transferred his power over to the 70-year-old on January 20, when Trump and his VP, Mike Pence, took their oaths of office in front of the entire nation.

The city of Columbus has a new for its travelers, honoring Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

President Trump signing appointment letters which will bring in to effect his cabinet. The oath taking ceremony is scheduled to be followed with a presidential parade, with the historic day concluding with a series of balls.

America is welcoming their 45th President into the White House on Friday.

Mr Trump's inaugural address is expected to last for around 20 minutes.

Supporters of Mr Trump started lining up at security checkpoints before dawn to take their places on the National Mall.

"I think tonight was just very special for us, because this is the Indiana Ball, and there are all these balls going on around Washington", Pence said.
