Finding David: Search for missing 6-year-old boy continues Monday

Monday, volunteers and authorities once again searched for a missing six year old.

The boy is considered endangered because of his age, according to police.

David Puckett, 6, went missing at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday from the 15700 block of East Amherst Place - about five and a half miles away from Fabian's home. The Amber Alert will be issued due to the passage of time and cold weather.

The FBI have also reportedly been aiding the police department in conducting "thorough" neighborhood searches and providing their extensive resources.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477). However police have issued 3 reverse notifications to about 27,000 residents within a 2.5 mile radius.

Metz said, "We know that somebody knows something..." and is asking for the public to report anything that may pertain to David, as any leads the department receives are significant.

Police said David has a history of wandering. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

More than 150 volunteers joined the search Sunday.

"It's the right thing to do. It's just to do my part", said Ann-Medina. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation sets the standard and makes the decision on whether or not to issue the alert.

Although this case may appear to fit all three of the categories, police believe David's disappearance was not associated with any foul play. Investigators said his case hasn't met the criteria for an AMBER Alert.
