Ed Sheeran To Release New Music This Friday

Ed Sheeran continued teasing new music today (January 2nd) with a mysterious tweet that announced, "When I was six years old I broke my leg..."

In the video, Ed confirms that new music is due on Friday 6th January 2017.

No other information was immediately available.

Amy Wadge, who worked with Sheeran on "Thinking Out Loud", also co-wrote "Fall".

Cast your minds back to the very end of 2015 and you'll remember Ed Sheeran posting a message to his legions of fans promising he'll be back in a year with a third album. And now he recently appeared in social media by posting a photo on his Instagram and Twitter profiles with his announcement. This makes fans speculate that the start was working on his new materials. Last year, he had three sold-out Wembley Stadium shows.

That led to speculation among hand-wringing fans that Sheeran could soon be releasing new music, which ultimately proved to be accurate.

Suffolk superstar Ed Sheeran was one of the nation's most downloaded artists in 2016 - despite taking a year off from music.

He has been a consistent chart-topper. 2017, I love you already. It's true that Sheeran has not only invaded fangirls' and music addicts' world but also the people in the field of television.

Now, he has hinted at the album's title - possibly '÷' (Divide), or '-' (Subtract) - with another Twitter teaser.
