West Brom's Pulis confirms bid for Schneiderlin

West Brom's head coach Tony Pulis has confirmed the club have made an offer for out-of-favour Man United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

Everton are thought to be the favourites to sign Schneiderlin with Ronald Koeman keen to reunite with the player he managed at Southampton.

However, West Bromwich Albion reportedly made a bid for Schneiderlin on Wednesday night which could make the Toffees sweat.

Both sides will undoubtedly take encouragement from Mourinho's comments today.

With home fixtures against Sunderland and Middlesbrough to come before the end of the year, Manchester United have a realistic chance of starting 2017 in the midst of a 10-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Pulis admits West Brom will have to be at their very best to secure a third away win of the season when they visit the Emirates.

"I don't want to say any more than confirm our bid", he said, according to the Birmingham Mail.

"I don't want to go into it specifics, doing deals and business you should so them directly with them".

"He is a great professional, a fantastic boy, very honest and open", Mourinho said. If he's not playing regular I have no right to say to a player "you are going nowhere". I prefer to conduct my business that way.

"We know Bailly is going to the African Cup of Nations in January, but for the next three matches we know what we have". If the right offer comes, Morgan will be the first departure for January leaving space for another player.

The United manager was also critical of the festive season fixture pile-up and questioned the policy of the Premier League.
