Three Of Amazon's Most Popular Originals Are Free During Christmas Holidays

In some cities, like Seattle, shoppers can purchase online items up until 10 p.m. on December 24 and still ensure they'll have their gifts under the tree by Christmas morning. Amazon promises the estimated 35-50 million USA members of its Prime service that customers will get their packages within two days, but really it wants those customers to get their packages even more quickly whenever possible.

A new Prime Now hub is located near 48th and Washington streets.

There's no hassle and anxiety of wondering if the shipping date and time is going to be accurate and at the Amazon Prime facility, what you need is already within driving distance.

In select cities, however, Prime members may also be eligible to get one-day, same-day, or even two-hour shipping, at no additional charge.

So, how does Amazon manage these rapid-fire deliveries?

The company is hellbent on flinging orders to the doorsteps of Prime customers as fast as humanly possible. We watched as pickers searched the shelves for my items - bacon, La Croix sparkling water, and earbuds - and prepared them for pick up by Amazon Flex couriers. Though the one hour service costs extra, two hours plus is free for Prime customers.

Air Amazon might not present much competition to FedEx and UPS for the time being, but those companies only have to look to book publishers if they want to see how risky Amazon can be to an established industry.

In the meantime, The Man in the High Castle Season 2 (no renewal just yet) is available in its entirety through Amazon Prime, as are Mozart in the Jungle Seasons 2 and 3.
