PlayStation Experience 2016: Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite announced

The rumours are true: Capcom has just announced a fourth Marvel Vs. Capcom game, with a promise of extensive single-player content. According to an overview of the game's features revealed by Capcom, the new "Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite" game has a 2v2 format in place of the traditional 3v3 format. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been brought to PS4 as well, and it's out today!

The latest installment for Marvel vs. Capcom 4: Infinite is sure to satisfy hardcore fans with solid gameplay. What are your thoughts on the cinematic trailer? Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 were pulled from PSN and Xbox Live as a result.

Unlike previous entries, Marvel vs Capcom 4 will reportedly not include members of the X-Men universe, as Marvel wishes to focus on characters that form part of its Cinematic Universe. The four previously mentioned characters were the only ones to appear in the videos, however it was reported earlier this week that the Marvel side of the line-up will draw heavily from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, due to their growing popularity in recent years. The trailer features Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Ryu and Megaman beating the absolute hell out of each other and we are ridiculously hype for it.

Marvel and Capcom characters will duke it out in a new crossover fighting game coming to consoles next year.

Each player may choose one of the six Infinity Stones to influence the outcome of the fight.

The five stones of the power of the Marvel multiverse give players different boosts based on its elements: space, time, reality, soul, and mind. This is yet to be confirmed, but Captain Marvel is one of the characters set to have her own movie in the future.

In anticipation of the new game, “Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3” is being re-released for current generation systems; with the PlayStation®4 digital download version available today and the Xbox One® and Windows PC versions coming in March 2017.

Sporting a Mark IV hotrod red and Rolex gold livery on his suit, Iron Man explodes onto the scene to blast Mega Man X out of the way of getting his hands on a glowing orb.
