Oxlade-Chamberlain fears for his future at Arsenal

The 23-year-old joins a long list of players that have been linked to a move to Anfield with Klopp intent on finding a replacement for forward Sadio Mane who is set to depart for the African Cup of Nations in the New Year.

Joining Klopp's revolution at Liverpool might be an attractive proposition for Oxlade-Chamberlain, given his struggles to cement a starting role at Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp has publicly ruled out a move for Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"I don't usually say anything about transfer rumours but I can make an exception". "This is nonsense. From my side, there is nothing else to say about it".

Oxlade-Chamberlain could be open to the switch after admitting earlier this season that he needed to be playing regularly at this stage of his career. "This is nonsense", Klopp said.

And the Liverpool manager insists he will only sign a player who adds genuine quality to his free-scoring side, who have notched more goals than any other team in the Premier League. "My English isn't good enough to use different words".

"I thought I said everything about the January transfer window".

"It's hard for him to get in the team but I'm still a little disappointed with what he has achieved at this moment in time because he was one of the top 10 players I ever managed during my time with the Under-21s".

I don't mind Chamberlain, I just think we should be looking for slightly better.

In the summer it was suggested that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would invite offers for the player but since then he has publicly stated the opposite and claimed he wants him to extend his stay.
