Kubiak has faith in Lynch's future and hope for Siemian now

After Denver claimed Justin Forsett off waivers and placed fellow running back Kapri Bibbs on injured reserve, some fans and pundits were upset that Bibbs's season was ended prematurely.

The Broncos have had just one player eclipse 100 rushing yards in a game this season. This coming after the eight-year veteran had been released by the Baltimore Ravens after Week 3.

Kubiak was the offensive coordinator for the Ravens during the 2014 season, which was Forsett's most successful year in his career to date. Starting 14-of-16 games that season, he rushed for a career-best 1,266 yards-the fifth most in the NFL-on 235 carries (5.4 avg.) with eight touchdowns.

"We're dropping like flies, so it'll be great to have him and I can't wait to meet him", said rookie running back Devontae Booker, who had his worst game of the season Sunday, gaining just 35 yards on 18 carries. He averaged a career-best 5.9 yards a carry for Kubiak in Houston in 2012.

Siemian sat out Sunday with a left mid-foot sprain he suffered in overtime of Denver's loss to Kansas City a week earlier. Then, he got hurt again.

Denver Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch (12) throws a pass against the Jacksonville Jaguars during the first half of an NFL football game in Jacksonville, Fla., Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016. "I'm really excited. We're asking a lot of him".

"He was in way too much distress back there. But we're going to fix that".

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - The Denver Broncos always, as in every single time they are asked, say they like challenges. According to coach Gary Kubiak, Siemian will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis this week, Broncos VP of public relations Patrick Smyth reports.

Kubiak said he was encouraged by Winn's recovery but said the training staff is still assessing Bibbs and Marshall.
