Kings-76ers game postponed due to wet floor

Kings-76ers game postponed due to wet floor

A date to make up the game was not immediately announced.

After almost an hour delay, the game was actually canceled.

The Philadelphia broadcast crew initially blamed unseasonably warm weather for the condensation. "With our ice surface, sometimes humidity is our biggest opponent when we prepare for a game, " Page said.

A crew took to the floor with mops in an effort to dry the court in time for the start of the game, but they were unsuccessful in doing so. By pregame warmups, the problem had worsened.

After the game, Sixers' CEO Scott O'Neil apologized for the inconvenience and said that he is confident in the staff at the Wells Fargo Center.

The league also released an official statement, saying that the game was "postponed due to unsafe playing conditions on the arena floor" and will be rescheduled.

"Just trying to figure out what's going to happen, you know what I mean?" said Wall.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 25 points and Tobias Harris had 21 to lead balanced scoring that carried the Detroit Pistons to a 121-114 win over the Boston Celtics, who will host the Kings on Friday.
