Dude Punches Kangaroo To Save His Dog

Turns out Tonkins is a zookeeper at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, New South Wales, and could be in hot water for his violent reaction.

Since it was uploaded to social media, the video has received more than three million views.

Video of man allegedly punching a kangaroo in the face after it had his dog in a head-lock has proved a massive hit.

The encounter, recorded by Tonkins' friend Greg Bloom, occurred during a boar hunting trip on a remote property in Condobolin, about six hours west of Sydney.

As the man approaches, the kangaroo kicks the dog in its front legs as the canine tries desperately to escape its grip.

Footage has emerged of a man - who can only be described as the new Indiana Jones of Australia - saving a dog from a kangaroo's chokehold.

"This hunting trip was put together for a sick young man called Kailem who passed away from cancer last week", Mathew Amor, organizer of the hunting trip, said, Tonews.com.au reports.

The roo stares menacingly at the man before realising he's outnumbered by both man and dog. The dogs, which were actually highly trained in hunting, had caught the scent of a pig before they got in the way of the pugnacious kangaroo.

"It was amusing because the guy who did it is the most placid bloke".

A group of hunters were out on a wild boar hunt when one of their dogs collided with a huge kangaroo. "It just grabbed him".

We're certainly all laughing with you, Kailem.

Barwick was also married to his longtime sweetheart, Brandi-Lee, in a hospital ceremony just days before he died.
