Beaver Caught Holiday 'Shopping' At St. Mary's Dollar Store

A beaver has trashed a Maryland store, seemingly distraught that it had only artificial Christmas trees in stock.

The beaver walked in through the front door of the Dollar General store in Charlotte Hall and started rummaging through the aisles, said a sheriff's office spokesman.

Animal control safely rescued the beaver and it was released to a wildlife rehabilitaton organization. Heck, this isn't even the first time we've heard about a beaver doing that.

The Saint Mary's County Sheriff's office posted these photos on Twitter. Police were called when the beaver reportedly caused property damage to the store.

"The suspect attempted to flee the area", the St. Mary County Sheriff's Office explained in a statement.

The beaver remains in the care of an animal rehabilitator and will be released back into the wild on a good behaviour bond.

At least one badly behaved beaver has begun his holiday shopping.
