Raiders prioritizing new deal for QB Derek Carr after this seaon

The Broncos' defense has played just a little bit better than the Bucs' defense has this season.

The Raiders are ready to offer Derek Carr a huge contract extension this offseason. Denver has dominated the series in recent seasons, winning eight consecutive matchups before Oakland ended the streak in the Mile High City last December. The spread got down as low as a pick 'em but has come back up to -1 as of Sunday morning. Plus, wide receiver Amari Cooper's contract comes up in 2019. Entering today, Carr, who is in his third season, is No. 5 in the National Football League in passing yards (2,321), No. 3 in touchdown passes (17), No. 10 in completion percentage (66.3) and No. 5 in passer rating (100.9). Despite the lack of touchdowns this year, Green has already eclipsed his career high for receptions in a single season and will likely surpass his career high for receiving yards at some point this year, as well.
