Justin Bieber belts out Beatles, Beethoven during impromptu Toronto pub visit

He is enjoying a welcome break from his objective world tour.

Patrons at a downtown Toronto pub may have done a double take on Friday night when pop star Justin Bieber sat down at the piano and played a few songs.

Witnesses told the CBC that Bieber, back in his native Canada after an overseas tour, dropped into Toronto's Fifth Pubhouse by himself Friday to enjoy a pint of beer and watch the Toronto Raptors game on television.

After ordering a drink, Bieber saw the piano and asked permission to play.

The 22-year-old musician, who won three MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) on Sunday (06Nov16), performed his hit Sorry, The Beatles' Let It Be, and a section from legendary German Composer Ludwig van Beethoven's classical piece Fur Elise.

Bartender Dale McDermott said Bieber was "a very genuine guy", and the two discussed McDermott's hometown of Dublin, where Bieber played several shows the previous week.

Justin Bieber delivered an impromptu piano performance over the weekend for lucky pub visitors. "We talked about Ireland and his visit".
