Federal Bureau of Investigation leaked Hillary Clinton e-mail data to Donald Trump, hints Rudy Giuliani

"I had no information about that at all", Giuliani said, referring to the email case. "All I heard is former Federal Bureau of Investigation agents telling me that there's a revolution coming on in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and it's to a boiling point". The FBI, one agent told the Guardian, is "Trumpland".

Giuliani insisted he's had no contact with any active FBI agents for eight to 10 months, and that what he knew of the frustration among some in the bureau was from media reports and former agents.

The FBI's "Ethics and Integrity Program" guide, meanwhile, stipulates to its employees that they may not use "any influence arising from [their] Federal concert with any campaign".

Giuliani confirmed that notion Friday during an appearance on "Fox & Friends".

Kallstrom, who first worked with Giuliani when the future mayor was a young assistant prosecutor in the early '70s, was Pataki's public safety director for five years after the 9/11 attacks and claims he was the one who recommended Comey to Pataki, who got the Bush White House to name him to Giuliani's old job, US attorney for the Southern District in 2001.

Giuliani said in an interview last week that there is "a surprise or two that you are going to hear about in the next few days" that will "turn this around".

"That came to a complete surprise to me", he added. "You should have been glad that something bigger came out to not make a liar out of you". A foundation official said that Trump's million-dollar donation this May, atop $100,000 he'd given in March, were the biggest individual grants it had ever received. "The reason why they're leaking is they're pro-Trump".

"Fox is the pipeline for the fifth column inside the bureau, a battalion that says it's doing God's work, chasing justice against those who are obstructing it, while, in fact, it's doing GOP work, even on the eve of a presidential election", Barrett concludes.

Giuliani, who as a former federal prosecutor has extensive ties to the FBI's NY office, told "Fox and Friends" that all the retired agents he knows believe Director James Comey should have recommended charges for Clinton over her private email server.

FBI Director James Comey's unprecedented decision to insert the law enforcement agency into the midst of a presidential election has been roundly criticized by everyone from former George W. Bush attorney general Alberto Gonzalez to Fox News' Chris Wallace.

Reps. Elijah Cummings and John Conyers, respectively the top Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Judiciary Committee, wrote to the Justice Department inspector general on Friday afternoon asking him to investigate the source of the information to Giuliani.

"He probably felt pressured to do something because he felt like subordinates were going to do it if he didn't", Kaine said. Or did Hillary-hating agents act on their own to please the Trump campaign and get even with their Washington-based director who shut down their investigation last summer?
