Patch 1.4 to be released on all platforms on October 25

As developers noted in a new post on the game's official website, all NPCs will now be able to yield items and these drops can be pretty useful as well. This patch aims to add in a bunch of "quality of life" changes, while also improving the solo player experience. There are four tiers, with the lowest one ranging from a gear score of zero to 163, and the fourth tier having a range of 205 to 229. There are even purchasable caches from vendors in The Division in 1.4 giving players an additional way to spend their credits, Phoenix Credits, and Dark Zone currency. The online open world third-person shooter game is getting a new update and it's set to launch next week.

To put it simply, it's an absolutely massive update. If you take a look at the lengthy patch notes, you will see that these new changes are extensive and touch just about every aspect of the game. The PlayStation 4 version is 4.636 GB, the Xbox One version is 5.34 GB, the Steam version 3.7 GB and the Uplay version 4.77 and 5.03 GB for Windows 10 and Windows 7 respectively. "The servers will shut down for maintenance on Tuesday, October 25th at 09:30 AM CEST / 03:30 AM EDT / 00:30 AM PDT".

This patch is the team's attempt to sort the game out and address numerous complaints from players since the game launched, and there's been a lot of them.

Tom Clancy's The Division will undergo a major overhaul once the highly anticipated update 1.4 arrives. With the upcoming arrival of update 1.4, it seems things are about to be straightened out. The Caduceus was altered to accommodate the removal of the Restored weapon talent, but almost all other named weapons remain untouched.

According to an update on the official The Division forums, voice chat will be temporarily disabled across the Xbox One platform to help with some stuttering issues that have appeared alongside update 1.4.
