My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero involved in Sydney bus crash

Former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero and two companions are recovering from an auto accident during the hours prior to a gig on Thursday night (Sept. 13) at Sydney, Australia's Metro Theatre.

Former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero and his band have had their Australian tour thrown into chaos after a bus crashed into van in a Sydney city bus lane.

As a result of the crash two men who were standing at the rear of the van were injured. Both are in a "serious but stable" condition.

"I'm still in a state of shock", he added.

Frank and his band were due to play the Metro venue in the Australian city but the date has been cancelled as a effect of the accident.

"The bus driver was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing".

Former My Chemical Romance musician Frank Iero says he is in "shock" after being involved in a nightmarish auto accident.

One man has been airlifted to St Vincent's Hospital and the other taken by ambulance, while a third man escaped serious injury and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

He posted: "Hi friends thanks all for the well wishes".

A message was delivered to ticketholders for tonight's show saying that the show was cancelled and refunds would be issued.

Frank's loyal devotees have taken to social media to share their concern and to wish the rock star well as he recovers.
