Mark Burnett addresses Apprentice Trump tape rumors

Mark Burnett and MGM released a joint statement following reports that material exists of Trump making lewd and sexist remarks in unseen footage from the reality show.

Mr Trump dismissed his comments as "locker room banter" during a debate with his rival Hillary Clinton over the weekend, and said: "I'm not proud of it".

In a statement to Variety magazine, Mr Burnett and MGM Holdins Inc said: "MGM owns Mark Burnett's production company and The Apprentice is one of its properties".

Mark Burnett, executive producer of "The Apprentice", told The Associated Press that he doesn't have the right to release unaired footage from the show, but did not respond to requests about specific requirements blocking the release.

A MA man has started a GoFundMe page with a group called the Sunlight Team to cover the legal fees for anyone who releases unaired footage of the presidential candidate. The recent claims that Mark Burnett has threatened anyone with litigation if they were to leak such material are completely and unequivocally false.

"Just kiss, I don't even wait. and when you're a star, they let you do it". "This is my boardroom", Trump said.

Following the leak of the tape, Bill Pruitt tweeted: "As a producer on seasons 1 & 2 of #theapprentice I assure you: when it comes to the #trumptapes there are far worse".

On the tape, Mr Trump, who was preparing for an appearance on the Days Of Our Lives show, said: "I am automatically attracted to beautiful women".

(Nee later wrote she had only "heard rumors" of the videos.) That's when Buzzfeed came in with its claim that Apprentice producer Burnett controls the footage and has threatened to sue any employee who leaks footage to the media.

Per the statement above, Burnett is a longtime supporter of the Democratic party.

"Someone out there is likely in possession of a piece of evidence that could be used to substantiate what many folks have always believed; that the current nominee for President of the United States is not a moral leader for us all to look to over the next four years", the page says.
