Today will be cloudy with showers likely and highs near 81. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 14 to 20 miles per hour. The overnight low is expected to be near 57, with a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Tonight's weather will be clear, with lows in the upper 50s in the suburbs but in the lower 60s downtown. Strong winds will continue early this evening and diminish from west to east. Areas of rain will continue but the flood threat has shifted north.

More wind and warmth will overspread the region Sunday and into the Labor Day holiday. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Monday - Partly sunny with a high near 80. Mostly cloudy with a high near 75. Southeast wind around 10 miles per hour in the evening becoming light after midnight.

For the coming weekend, it now looks like it will be mostly sunny with highs slightly above average in the mid-90s. Off the coast, weather models have continued to project waves between 10 - 15 feet to even cresting at 20 feet well off the coast of New Jersey.
