Messi is superior to Ronaldo, claims Xavi

Xavi Hernández always speaks clear and this time was no exception.

Marca, the Madrid-based newspaper, claims Ronaldo is under "strict instruction" to play limited minutes in the club's next La Liga game, against Osasuna on Saturday at Santiago Bernabeu.

Xavi explained what he thinks about FC Barcelona this year from his point of view.

Even Ronaldo himself has refused to rule out playing for Barcelona in the future.

In an interview to Cadena SER, the former Barca midfielder once again reiterated that Messi was the best player in the world and also seeked to clarify comments on Ronaldo, whom he had been misinterpreted as stating "lacked intelligence".

'Messi will be number one until he wants.

Morata has already netted for the European champions, notching in the 2-1 win against Celta Vigo and he is ready to continue impressing coach Zinedine Zidane to try and stay in his plans, despite the challenge of fellow forwards Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. "It´s hard to see Iker on the bench with all the good things and moments he gave to this country", Xavi explained about seeing Casillas on the bench in the last Euro in France and after the former Real Madrid goalkeeper was left out from the list of the new Spanish coach.

The former Inter Milan winger said that anything is possible in football as something similar could happen if the Baulgrana determine to break the bank for the three-time Ballon D'Or victor. Is he planning to retire soon now that he has become the best football player in the world?

'Ronaldo is extraordinary, but compared to Messi, for me and for everyone who likes football, there can be no comparisons.
