Mary J. Blige Serenades Hillary Clinton in Apple Music Interview

Blige via Apple Music, debuting September 30, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul sits down with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Mary J. Blige may have just raised the awkwardness with their recent commercial which featured the singer serenading Secretary Clinton.

Springsteen wrote "American Skin (41 Shots)" about the 1999 police shooting death of Guinean immigrant Amadou Diallo.

Apparently, Mary J.'s new talk show The 411 - named after her debut studio album What's the 411? - premieres this Friday, and HRC herself will be the very first guest! "If an officer stops you, always be polite", she sings.

While the My Life singer pours her heart into the performance as if singing a deep cut from her own catalog while sitting across from Clinton, the songstress is actually singing Bruce Springsteen's "American Skin (41 Shots)". "Promise momma you'll keep your hands inside", Blige continued, while Clinton continued to gaze.

Mary J Blige has interviewed US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for her Beats 1 online show, and it's going to be all kinds of emotional. Blige sings: "It ain't no secret/You can get killed for living in your American skin".

A request for comment to the fan reaction was not immediately returned by Apple.
