Denver International Airport reopened by police

United flight 1243 resumed its path and was expected to land at San Diego International Airport about 1:15 a.m., according to the airline's website.

A San Diego-bound United Airlines flight that was diverted to Denver following a report of a suspicious device arrived at Lindbergh Field early Thursday.

Airlines reported 11 tarmac delays of more than three hours on domestic flights and 10 tarmac delays of more than four hours on worldwide flights in July, according to DOT. The plane landed safely, officials said.

Just after 11 p.m., passengers reboarded the plane and completed the flight to San Diego. The plane was checked by Denver Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation team. "Officers are investigating suspicious item". However, no one was taken to custody following the investigations and security checks. Nothing was found on the plane, and it was given the all-clear. However, the delay at Denver only lasted for two hours.
