IPhone 7 updates: RAM expected to increase to 3GB

This version of the iPhone 7 Plus looks to be coming with a metallic blue sort of tone to it - not particularly black, but not really blue like a Pepsi can, either. There are some fairly major changes in the works that we can see, but some of them might be baffling if you don't know Apple.

Since 2012, Apple has launched new iPhones in September and we hear that the tradition will continue with iPhone 7 as well. Tell me all about it!

While some details are still murky, there are rumors that have surfaced time and time again, allowing us to reliably predict some iPhone 7 changes. You can decide whether it's a good thing or bad.

Lewis Hilsenteger - made use of digital calipers, and found out that the new iPhone Plus would be slightly slimmer than the current iPhone 6S Plus. The antenna lines are also supposed to have been moved. First off is the fact that the iPhone in the image is shown to form a 7, which likely means the partner believes it will be called the iPhone 7.

Ever since Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) launched the iPhone SE in March, the 4-inch smartphone has been the center of a lot of questions. The camera bump is also more protruding and might annoy some users - who already hate the same on the previous lineup.

According to a new report for Digitimes, the upcoming iPhone will be equipped with 3GB of RAM on board, while Android devices are expected to go as high as 6GB.

Take, for example, what we saw with the iPhone 6s. Additionally, it appears the smaller form factor helped Apple sell more iPhones than analysts had expected.

Another confirmed rumor is that the iPhone 7 Plus will have a dual lens camera. This bigger iPhone may also feature iPad Pro-like smart connectors.

Meanwhile, the exact details surrounding the premium smartphone remain vague, but are still considering that the the new device will probably have a dual camera sensors and that it won't feature a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Rumours of a Bluetooth or Lightning-powered set of EarPods have accompanied these leaks.

Three Smart Connector pins are also featured near the bottom of the dummy unit on its rear. Instead, it should be monitored as just one part of a much larger, iPhone-dominated, business. There are now loads of rumours and concepts floating around about the iPhone 7, from the fairly legitimate, to the outlandish and very unlikely ones we won't bother to get into.
