Coldplay releases video recorded in Mexico City

Check out Coldplay's new music video for their song "A Head Full of Dreams"! A Head Full Of Dreams is the opening track of Coldplay's seventh album, which reached Number One on iTunes in more than 90 countries and has sold in excess of 4 million copies.

Shot on Super 8mm, the video is directed by James Marcus Haney, who has also directed videos for Mumford and Sons, Bear's Den, The Staves and Deap Vally.

The video opens with a sample of Charlie Chaplin's magnanimous speech from The Great Dictator, a scene employed by Coldplay at the start of their recent concerts that has seen a viral resurgence in recent months as a result of Donald Trump's polarizing rhetoric.

Coldplay are touring in the U.S. with a weekend show at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and another in Las Vegas on September 1. They have finished their tour in Europe, which included four shows at Wembley Stadium as well as headlining Glastonbury.

The fourth single to be taken from Coldplay's acclaimed hit album, A Head Full Of Dreams (out now). They have also earned the band three nominations at the upcoming MTV VMAs in NY, for Best Rock Video (Adventure Of A Lifetime) plus Best Direction and Best Visual Effects (Up&Up).
