Playboy model bashed for SnapChat body-shaming photo at LA gym

Playboy model bashed for SnapChat body-shaming photo at LA gym

Mathers posted an apology, saying she was new to Snapchat and posted the image by mistake.

According to TMZ, L.A. Fitness confirmed that Mathers is a member and has contacted the police in response to the model surreptitiously photographing another member.

But the apology wasn't enough as Mathers was suspended indefinitely by her employer, LA radio station KLOS-FM.

After she realised what she had done (post something online where it will exist forever) she tried to reverse her actions and apologise.

These were followed by a host of Twitter messages from others slamming the model for her despicable behavior. In other words, "she knows body shaming is wrong, but was going to do it anyway-just privately", writes Sam Escobar at Good Housekeeping. It all began when Mathers posted these two pictures to her Snapchat that showed a woman in the sauna at LA Fitness. The photo was merged with a selfie of Mathers covering a devious smile on her face.

"I understand fully the magnitude of this post that I have hurt a lot of people, women", she continued.

"It's pretty much any woman's worst nightmare", Boesveld said.

Mathers sparked a social media outcry after posting the photo, apparently taken surreptitiously, with the caption: "If I can't unsee this then you can't either". She "is not permitted back at any club, ever", a spokesperson told TMZ Friday.

She then said it was a private conversation that "should never have happened".

"You shouldn't be body-shaming anyone".

The site also spoke with a representative from LA Fitness - the nationwide fitness chain where the pic was snapped - who says that the 2015 Playmate of the Year is permanently banned from all locations.

"That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do", she said in a YouTube video.

She could also be in trouble with the police, as L.A. Fitness contacted the authorities. I've never done this before, I will never do this again.
