Chewbacca mask mum who became YouTube sensation drives James Corden to work

Candace Payne said in the video she had bought the mask at her local Kohl's store as a gift to herself but anxious her son might claim it as his own.

"We have received an overwhelming amount of interest in the Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Chewbacca Electronic Mask by Hasbro since Candace posted her amusing and lighthearted video", said a Kohl's spokeswoman to CNBC.

Payne took the mask out of its packaging and put it on while sitting in her vehicle.

The Chewbacca mask made famous by a Texas woman, whose sheer delight at the noise making Wookiee disguise made her Facebook Live video the most watched ever, is flying off the shelves like Jedi starfighters.

Before long, Candace sat down for an interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show in which she recounted her experience upon finding out that her Facebook Live video went viral.

'I know you're a happy Chewbacca.

James Corden has seized the ideal carpool karaoke opportunity by inviting the "Chewbacca Mom" to drive him to work. "You can't quantify what it feels like to know that many people are out there in the Internet webs, watching".

"I have got to get to work, is there any way we can leave now", Corden opened the skit with the giggly Dallas-based mom. Her sheer delight and riotous laugh over finding and wearing the mask quickly went viral. "I mean it doesn't sound like Chewbacca". Corden even shared video of Abrams showing up to record the sketch and blowing Payne's mind.

When back in the studio, Corden also reads a note from real-life Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew, to Payne.

The mother of two said she made a few other stops after leaving Kohl's, "and then it was just calling from the bag". "It's so much of why we do what we do". Her giggle is infectious and you can't help but laugh too.
