Kate Middleton Just Surprised Us Big Time With This Daring Nighttime Look

For the reception, the Duchess wore a £498 full-length dress by Indian designer Saloni, with a keyhole back to reveal a hint of flesh. The 34-year-old royal gave a nod to her host country in the confection designed by Indian-born British-based designer Saloni Lodha. Unlike William's parents, whose itineraries were largely separate, William and Kate are a couple very much in love and will see the country together. Princess Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge smiles as she attends a reception ahead of their tour of India and Bhutan at Kensington Palace on April 6, 2016 in London, England.

Kate Middleton sported the full length Mary Illusion Dot Dress at the event tonight, after the pair welcomed young people from the country and India to their London home.

The Duchess of Cambridge tries to dress simply and "diplomatically" when traveling on official royal business, yet still manages to look like she's just stepped off a catwalk.

Kate kept her whole makeup look soft, applying a taupe eyeshadow across the lids and up to the crease of her eyes. "The important factor on this tour is the heat, so that's an issue that plays a big part in the choice of outfits".

The exact tour of both Indian and Bhutan will last from April 10 through April 16. Later, the duo will visit Taj Mahal and sit for an iconic photo on the lovers' bench.

They will also follow in the footsteps of Diana, Princess of Wales and take a tour of the Taj Mahal - the landmark where Diana was famously pictured reflecting on a solo engagement without her husband Prince Charles. As for Prince William, he matched his wife perfectly while wearing a suit with a light blue tie.

"The arrangements are being made keeping in mind the royal couple's special request that they be as immersed in Indian culture as possible, during their stay with us", the source at the hotel said. Kate accessorized her outfit with "gold dangling earrings and blue suede shoes", together with her "signature blowout".

On April 11, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will chitchat with aspiring entrepreneurs to promote Britain overseas, before flying off in a chartered jet to lay a wreath at the India Gate war memorial.
