The company's wearable device turned out to be quite successful so there are many people out there waiting to see what it's able to achieve with the new one.

Early next month, Microsoft will be holding an event in New York where they will be talking about new devices.

From the Microsoft Insider renders, it appears that the second generation of Band has a curved screen, addressing one of the complaints with the original model.

The images show a completely redesigned device with a curved display and metallic touches around its face, including physical buttons that will likely make the second Microsoft Band easier to navigate. The report also claimed that the newly surfaced photos are legitimate. The original Microsoft Band may not have generated a great deal of interest, but the company is not ready to give up.

While the first iteration of the Microsoft Band failed to create a buzz in the wearable’s segment, with the Microsoft Band 2- codenamed "Envoy", the software giant aims to target more consumers with improved functionality and design.

Owners of smartphones running on Windows Phone, iOS and Apple can use the Health app from the Redmond giant to sync health data for exercise. Improved battery life is also expected to be offered. Microsoft is also heavily speculated to reveal the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 960 XL flagship smartphones. The first model was originally launched in the United States only to test market demand and only then brought in other markets, such as Europe.
